ANNOUNCEMENTS

The class of "46" is having a reunion at the Anglers on September 11th at 11:00 A.M.  Connie Robeson who is organizing this reunion also would like to buy up to three 1945 Oracle yearbooks if anyone has any they would like to sell.  If you are wondering why she wants a 1945 yearbooks it is because that during the war and a few years afterward yearbooks were only published every other year.  If you wish to sell or give a 45 yearbook you can contact her at 574-583-4824.

The first Inaugural USATF certified Diamond Dash 5K Run/Walk will start on the courthouse square on September 18th at 8:30 am.  All registrants will be eligible to win a grand prize drawing for a Diamond Necklace.  Registration includes 1. Chance to win a Diamond Necklace 2. Collectible T-Shirt  3. Bib and timing chip 4. Pancake and sausage breakfast following the race.  This year's proceeds will help replace the roof on the historic Delphi Opera House.  Please go to www.delphipreservationsociety.org/diamond-dash where more details are available.

Be sure to check out the Networking/Mentoring page.  We've had an awesome group of alums offer to mentor fellow alums!

Welcome to the Oracle Alumni Website

This website has the potential of bringing many past graduates the ability to communicate with their classmates who they may have not spoken to in years.  It also can aid in the planning or ignite class reunions either by class or by a group of classes.  It can reunite teammates, band members, and various other school groups and bring back memories of elementary days, middle school days, and high school days from the playground to the school plays.  The most important attribute would be to enhance a feeling of pride and cohesiveness between the school and community.  ( I have seen this happen in my own high school in Rockville, Class of "63", through this very website.)  Mellencamp's "Small Town" and Springsteen's "Glory days" express the nostalgia of times past but this website can bring the reality of reminiscing with your classmates about your school years.

Even though I am not a graduate of Delphi High School, my more than 30 years of teaching in Delphi has made me feel as one with the Delphi Alumni.  I would like to thank Kathy Zink "84" and Joel Robbins "84" for their diligent work they have done so far and the much work to be done in the future with this website.

To become a member, which is free, click on "Classmate Profile" to the right for more information.  Members will not be solicited for any fundraising or receive emails.  This is a work in  progress and it will take some time to insert the relevant data.  Non-members can not access profiles and participate with e-mail contacts.  If you are interested in helping by scanning pictures or typing up class lists, please contact us.
