Dan Minks

Daniel Eugene Minks, 76, Parrish, Florida, passed into the arms of Jesus, Nov.19, 2020. Dan was the son of Marion and Marjorie Minks and was born on Aug. 3, 1944. He married Charlotte Purcell on Dec. 29, 1968.

Dan was a meat cutter by trade. He loved to fish, was a crazy story teller, and was passionate about all things outdoors, especially his yard. He loved his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be remembered for his servant’s heart and sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Char Minks. Also surviving are two children, Shawn (Carol) Minks, Tampa, Florida, and Dawn (Rick) Oropeza, North Richland Hills, Texas, and five grandchildren, Tal Minks, Tiana Minks, Tate Minks, Kaila Oropeza, and Max Oropeza. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn (Craig) Hubler, Portland, Oregon, and his brother, Terry (Joyce) Minks, Oro Valley, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion & Marjorie Minks.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on November 28, 2020 at 1pm, at The Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave. Sarasota Florida.
