Art Smith

I spent 25 years in the AF, first as a navigator on a B-52, then a staff officer at various places in the Western Pacific and Europe. Flew 135 combat missions during Vietnam.

In retirement became director of a transportation organization, then a planner analyst for the Air Quality Management District in Sacramento CA. I also served as a planning commissioner for the new city of Rancho Cordova, a city of about 56,000 people--a suburb of Sacramento.

In 2005 my first wife Raylee contracted leukemia an after a courageous battle, died in June of 2006. Through my sisters, Rosa and Doris, who live in Newberg, OR, I met Mary Gail Jones. We were married in March 2008. We are enjoying retirement and grandkids. Together we have seven kids and six grandchildren, so far. We have traveled to Guatemala on missions trips and many other corners of the world for fun.
