Kirk Sterrett

Kirk B. Sterrett, 49, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday-March 28, 2021 at 1:00am at his home. He was born April 10, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA, to his late father Charles S. Sterrett, and his mother Barbara J. Barclay Sterrett Dyer, who survives. He was a 1989 graduate of Delphi High School. He received his B.S. degree in computer programming from the School of Technology at Purdue University in 1994. He worked in Indianapolis in computer programming for several years at various companies there. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Camden, and was confirmed in the Faith at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Delphi. While at Purdue he was a member of the Tau Sigs Fraternity. He enjoyed music, and while in high school and at Purdue he played in both bands, the alto saxophone. Kirk enjoyed sports and working out with weights and body building. He had a very outgoing personality and enjoyed being around people and socializing. Being a Purdue graduate made him an eternal Boiler sports fan. He dearly loved his family.

Dyer of Delphi; brother-Zane & Lynne Sterrett of Alamo, CA; nephew Zachary Sterrett, niece Sydney Sterrett; stepbrother-Michael & Gloria Dyer of Kokomo; extended family: Ryan & Krista Dyer, Kristi & Matt Reynolds, JR, Michael, & Kory Dyer, Evan & Ellie Reynolds. Preceded in death by his stepfather Bill Dyer; maternal grandmother Irene Hawkins. A celebration of Kirk's life will take place at a date to be announced.
