Mrs. Josephine M. LaPlante, 63, of Lafayette, died Friday night in Home Hospital. Born Sept. 12, 1910, in Brookston, to David and Lula Hamilton Widner, she formerly was employed as a waitress in both Delphi and Lafayette restaurants. Surviving are three brothers, Jack Widner of Logansport, Oliver of Delphi,and Robert of Monticello; and three sisters, Mrs. Russell Budd of Winamac, Mrs. Thurston Downham of Delphi, and Mrs. Chester Brotherton of Kansas City, Mo. Services were Monday at the Jackson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Odin Memering officiating. Burial was at the Morning Heights Cemetery in Delphi.
