Bernard Wray - Class Of 1937

Bernard D. Wray, 74, of Rt. 3, Delphi, died Nov. 26, 1993, at his winter home in Riverview, Fla. Born July 21, 1919, in Wheeling, he was the son of Paul Truman and Josephine Trapp Wray. His marriage was to Mary Brewer, who survives. A retired ironworker, he had belonged to Ironworkers Local 379 in Lafayette. He attended Delphi schools and was a member of Moose Lodge in Monticello, Eagles Lodge in Logansport, and Sons of the American Legion in Delphi. Also surviving are one son, Paul E. Wray of Riverview, Fla.; two brothers, Gerald Wray of Delphi, who died Jan. 4, and Delbert Wray of Delphi; a half-brother, Robert Merrell of Lafayette; a stepsister, Rosemary Den Uyl of South Carolina; two stepbrothers, John Merrell and Larry Merrell, both of Lafayette; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a half-sister, a brother, and one stepsister. Graveside services will be held in the sping at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.
