Donna Bell Smith Eldridge, 83, died at 6:30 AM Saturday, Nov. 20 2010, at her West Lafayette residence. Born Aug. 20, 1927, in Flora, she was the daughter of the late Oakley and Mabel Meeks Smith. She married Arthur Eldridge in November of 1961 in Delphi, and he survives. Mrs. Eldridge was a cook at Purdue University for 18 years and then did babysitting.

Surviving with her husband are four children, Carolyn Ahlfield (husband Stanley) of Clarksville, TN, Jeannie Collins, Rosalyn Smith (husband Edwin), both of Lafayette, and Robert Lewis Collins (wife Gwen) of Santa Fe, CA; four stepchildren, Arthur Eldridge, Jr., Eugene Eldridge (wife Kay), both of Lafayette, Walter Roger Eldridge (wife Donna) of Hoschton, GA, and Lorine McCall of Frankfort; and a sister, Mildred Rice of Lafayette. Services Tuesday in Lafayette.
