Minnie Scott (Farr) - Class Of 1896

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Mae (Scott) Farr, 61, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Delphi Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Harry Parker, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Farr, wife of County Auditor Wade Farr, died Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Farr home in South Delphi after an illness of several months. She had been a patient of St. Elizabeth Hospital for several weeks and was returned to her home last month at her own request. Mrs. Farr was born in Colburn on June 23, 1878, daughter of David and Catherine Scott, She was graduated from the Delphi high school and was a teacher in Tippecanoe county before her marriage to Mr. Farr on June 12, 1900. She was a member of the Delphi Presbyterian church. Until her recent illness, she assisted at the auditor’s office. Mrs. Farr was loved and respected by all who knew her and leaves many friends in Delphi and Carroll county. Mr. and Mrs. Farr were devoted throughout their 40 years of married life. They had no children. Surviving are the husband, two sisters, Mrs. L. J. Funderburg of Denver, Colorado, who has been caring for Mrs. Farr during recent weeks, and Mrs. Frank Hemmig of Ockley; and a nephew, Russell Julius, Shortridge high school athletic director. Blythe and Sons are in charge of funeral arrangements. The Good Friday union service, which was to have been held at the Presbyterian church at 2 p. m. will instead be held at 3 o’clock.
