Ryan Molter - Class Of 1997

Ryan Molter

Ryan Stephen Molter, 44, of Battle Ground, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Ryan was born on January 1, 1979 to Stephen and Mindy (Cooper) Molter. He was the first baby of Tippecanoe County for the year of 1979.

Ryan grew up in Delphi, IN and graduated from Delphi High School in the class of 1997. He spent most of his career in construction trades and became a carpentry artisan founding Molter Designs in January 2020. Most recently, Ryan was a sales partner in the family business at Molter Auto Sales in Monticello, IN. He was a talented artist, skilled outdoorsman, and certified fitness instructor. He was a champion all-natural bodybuilder, winning two professional competitions. Ryan always said, “If you can catch me, I’m doing something wrong.”

Ryan was a father to Megan Lane Molter and married his high school sweetheart, Shelley Lamb, on March 23, 2020, along with her children, Olivia, Owen, Oraelia, and Oriyah. He adored his family. Shelley gifted Ryan their beloved dog, Karma, shortly after they were married and moved into a home in rural Battle Ground. Their home was a place for entertaining their loved ones, often gathering around a handmade oak wood dinner table built by Ryan or swinging on handmade swings outside. Ryan was a loyal, honest and devoted friend to many.

Ryan was preceded in death by his sister Gretchen Ann Molter, his maternal grandparents, his aunt, Patsy Molter and brother-in-law Troy Lamb. He is survived by his loving wife Shelley; parents: Stephen and Mindy Molter; children: Megan, Olivia, Owen, Oraelia, Oriyah; brother: Jacob (Brittney) Molter; sister: Cassie Molter; grandparents: Roy and Ruth Ann Molter; in-laws: Denise Lamb and Steven (Constance) Lamb; special nephew: Bennett Molter; aunts, uncles, cousins, business partners and friends.
