Her middle name was Jane and that's what she preferred to be called by.. She was employed at Kmart Corporation her entire adult life.. We hung out together in school. Jane was a very caring person and loved her husband and son very much. She is missed very much.

Jane Davis, 47, of Delphi, died at 1:55 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, of injuries sustained from an automobile accident at SR25 and SR225.
  Born in Lafayette on Aug. 25, 1955, she was the daughter of Edwin L. and Dorothy M. Glick Everhart.
  She married Kenneth "Duke" Davis on July 4, 1983, in Carroll County, and he survives.
  She was a 1973 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
  Mrs. Davis worked for 30 years in the garden center at K-Mart in Lafayette.
  She was a member of Delphi VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Camden, and was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church of Delphi.  She enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and gardening.
  Also surviving is a son, Kyle D. Davis at home; two stepchildren, Kenneth P. Davis II and Kimberly A. Raines, both of Lafayette; and a brother, Ed Everhart of Lafayette.
  Services were Aug. 11 at Davidson Funeral Home, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens.
  Memorials may be made to Carroll County 4-H poultry division.

Edward Everhart (1965)

My sister, Jane, was a very special caring person who always seemed to manage a smile despite whatever life brought. She was a great mother, wife, daughter and sister. She is missed very much.
