Sally Anne Ora Hanaway Walters, 87, of Rockfield, died unexpectedly Friday-February 9, 2024, at 1:17pm, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, while visiting her son. She was born July 6, 1936, in Jackson Township, Carroll County, IN, to her late parents George & Louva Jones Hanaway. Her marriage was to Richard Lee "Dick" Walters, on July 13, 1957, at her parents' home near Delphi, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2018. She was a 1954 graduate of Delphi High School. She worked at the former Gerber Globe Valve in Delphi for 35 years, retiring from there and was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping with her family, mowing her yard and keeping her many flower gardens weeded and looking just right. She loved to go mushroom hunting in the Spring and loved to walk in her neighborhood. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Orlando, FL, for many years. Family was everything to her, and she loved being with her sons and extended family for any occasion. They were her life. Surviving: son-Rodney "Popeye" Walters of Delphi, son-Russell L. Walters of Delphi, granddaughter-Brianna & Jarrod McCormick of Delphi, brother-George "Tuffy" & Jan Hanaway of Camden. She was preceded in death by a son Rick Walters, brother's Hobart & Pete, sister's Mary & Beverly.
