Mercedes Dwyer, 32, New Bedford, Mass., died at 6 a.m. Sunday at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass.  She had been hospitalized since February 15.
  Born March 11, 1947, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Michael J. and Alice M. Kavanaugh Dwyer.  She attended St. Bridget's School in Logansport and was graduated from Delphi High School, St. Mary's College and Notre Dame University.  She was a social worker and a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Logansport.
  Surviving with the parents of Rt. 2, Camden, are three sisters, Mary Ellen Dwyer, Zanesville, Ohio; Susan A Dwyer, Louisville, Ky., and Martha A. Dwyer, Highland Park, Ill,; two brothers, Peter James Prairie Village, Kan. and Terence M. Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and the grandfather, Peter J. Dwyer, Indianapolis.
  The body will be cremated.
  Rev. Robert Goodrum will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Logansport.  Interment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Logansport.
  Fisher Funeral Home, Logansport, is in charge of arrangements.
