Winifred Connelly Hiett, 78, of Lake Ridge, Va., died March 27, 1994, in Annaburg Manor, Manassas, Va. Born April 19, 1915, in Illinois, she was the daughter of Lt. Marshall and Fern Elizabeth Daggett Connelly. She married Howard Hiett, who preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement, she was a registered nurse, working at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, and Memorial Hospital, Logansport. She graduated from Lafayette Home Hospital School of Nursing and was a 1932 graduate of Delphi High School. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Stephen Hiett of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Phyllis Yates of Delphi; two grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery.
