Lavonne Belle Atkinson, 81, died unexpectedly August 20, 1995, Brooksville Regional Hospital in Brooksville, Fla. Atkinson was born in Carroll County on November 1, 1913. In 1939, she moved to the Anderson area. She retired from Delco Remy and in 1990 she moved to Alfred, Fla. She was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church of Anderson and the Brooksville Wesleyan Church of Brooksville, Fla. Her husband, Robert L. Atkinson preceded her in death along with three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are one brother, William R. Landis of Anderson; one half-sister, Julie A. Bestock of Jamesville, Wis.; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday 10:00 a.m. at the Central Wesleyan church with Rev. G.R. Bateman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
