Vernon G. Myers, 69, a former resident of Carroll County, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1983 at Sarasota, Florida. He was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Yeoman to Willie D. and Hazel Myers. On March 9, 1935, he was married to Marianne L. Smith, who survives. He was a retired conductor for Norfolk and Western Railroad. He was a graduate of Delphi High School. Surviving with the widow are two daughters Judith Nelson, Flossmoor. Ill, and Nancy Metzger, Peru; two sisters and four grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday in Sarasota. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday. Nov. 11, in Peru Church of Brethren, Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Crippled Child in care of Sahib Temple, 600 North Beneva Rd., Sarasota.
