Donald Bowman

Donald H. Bowman, 75, formerly of Delphi, died Dec. 29, 1998, in Fort Myers, Fla.
  Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Rockfield, he had lived 10 years in Fort Myers.  He graduated from Delphi High School in 1941, and from Purdue University, with a degree in agriculture, in 1946.
  He established Green Acres Soil Services in Delphi in 1955, and owned and operated it for several years.  He also was a commodities broker for several years.
  Mr. Bowman was a bomber pilot during World War II and the Korean War.
  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 75, both in Delphi.
  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joan Lett Bowman; two sons, Frederic T. Bowman of Lafayette and Thomas J. Bowman of Delphi; a daughter, Ann Wilcox of Lafayette; a sister, Frances Sowards of Fort Myers; two granddaughters and a great-grandson.  He was preceded in death by a brother.
  Services were Saturday in Fort Myers.
