Funeral services for Wayne D. Zinn, 89, of Flora, will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at Living Faith Church, Flora, at 11:00 am. The Rev. Ed Selvidge will be officiating with burial to follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery. Calling will be Sunday December 22, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora.

Wayne died at 12:45 am on December 19, 2013 at his home in Sarasota, Florida.

Born November 16, 1924, in Carroll County, he was the son of Jesse and Lora Zinn. His marriage on March 15, 1947 in the Delphi Methodist Church was to Laverna M. Zook who preceded him in death.

Mr. Zinn was a member of the Radnor United Methodist Church. He was also a former member of the Lafayette Boat Club, Whirly Twirlers Square Dance Club and belonged to the Carroll County Rural Youth Organization. Once featured on the cover of Prairie Farmer Magazine, Wayne was an avid farmer in Carroll County for more than 40 years.

Wayne enjoyed spending the winter months in Sarasota, Florida, at Buckingham Club where he most recently resided with his wife Rita Zinn who survives. Also surviving are five daughters; Marsha Robinson of San Antonio, Texas, Melody Hodges of Camden, Donna Zinn and Debbie Beck, both of Lafayette, and Darlene Zinn of Indianapolis. Wayne also has two sisters, Rosella Robertson, of Sarasota, and Maxine Victor, of Flora, who survive. His sister Eileen Brown, of Lafayette, preceded him in death. He will be missed greatly by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
