Calvin L. Boyd, 78, of 372 James St., Camden, died at 2:25 p.m. on Aug.22, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, where he had been a patient since Aug. 12.
  Born in Camden on Aug. 27, 1926, he was the son of Ira and Bertha Horst Boyd.  He was a 1945 graduate of Delphi High School.
  His marriage was to Velma J. Wrightsman in Garnett, Kan., on June 21, 1953, and she survives.
  Mr. Boyd worked for Pioneer Seeds in Flora for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
  He was a member of the Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church at Camden.
  Surviving with his wife are a niece and two nephews.
  He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
  Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi.  Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Deer Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church at Camden, with home brethren officiating.  Burial will be at Musselman Cemetery in Camden.
