Col. John R. Zartman, 78, of Clearwater, Fla., died Feb. 27, 1010, there.
  Born April 25, 1931, in Galveston, he moved with his family to Delphi in 1944 and graduated from Delphi High School in 1949.
  He became a part of the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Colonel after 30 years.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Koontz, who he married in 1954; three children, Sue, Dave and Beth; and eight grandchildren.
  A memorial service was held March 6 in Clearwater.
