Woodrow "Woody" George McDowell, Portland, Oregon, died September 6, 1987, at a Milwaukie Hospital.
  He was born in Delphi, August 14, 1912 to George McDowell and Anne E. Rohrabaugh.  His marriage was to Claudyne McDaniel in 1939, and she survives.
  McDowell graduated in 1933 from Delphi High School and played five years on their championship basketball team.  He moved to Portland after graduation.  He served in WW II, in the U.S. Navy.
  Surviving with his wife are four children, eight grandchildren, and two sisters, including Clara Sims of Delphi.
  Services were held in Portland.
