Services were Sunday for Joseph Sibbit Been, 69, of Delphi who was found dead at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 1986, in his home.  Death was unexpected.

  Born Mar. 4, 1916, in Delphi, his parents were Jason and Estelle Sibbit Been.  His father survives.

  He attended Delphi High School and was graduated from the Miami, Fla., Military Academy.  A veteran of World War II serving with the Army Air Corps in the European Theatre, he was a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75 and National Rifle Association.

  Survivors with the father are four cousins.

  Burial was in Masonic Cemetery with American Legion military rites.  Rev. James Rankin was officiating minister and Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
