Minnie P Osborn, 88, died Saturday in Marion General Hospital. She was born in Hawkins County, Tenn., to the late Charles Buchanan and the late Rittie West. She married Robert J. Osborn on Dec. 2, 1939. He survives. She graduated from Delphi High School in 1935 and was an inspector in the white room at RCA for 22 years, retiring in 1977. In 1949, she joined the Temple Congregation Church, where she served as a deaconess, trustee, teacher and church librarian. She belonged to the RCA Retirees Sympathy Club and RCA Retirees Club and was formerly a member of the Senior Citizens Advisory Board, YWCA and AARP. She was awarded by area No. 6 in appreciation for her service and dedication to the community. Additional survivors include daughter, Anita Osborn, Indianapolis; son, David (Peggy) Osborn, Columbia, S.C.; grandson, Jonathan (Amy) Osborn, Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Jodi Osborn, Columbia S.C.; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Cooper, Alexis Osborn and Brandon Ragan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Buchanan; and a sister, Louise Randolph. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Temple Congregational Church, 1006 N. Western Ave., with the Rev. Dr. Marv Wiseman officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road.
