Joe Daniels - Class Of 1937

Joseph K. "Joe" Daniels, 72, of 2900 Holly Hill Drive, Lafayette, formerly of Delphi, died at 8:41 p.m. Feb. 27, 1992, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he had been admitted the day before.
  Born Dec. 3, 1919, in Madison Township, he was the son of Jesse and Cora Peterson Daniels.  His marriage was on Aug. 7, 1971, in Lafayette, to Malvina Righi Goyer, who survives.
  A 1937 graduate of Delphi High School, he worked at Alcoa for 37 years, retiring in 1975.
  He was a member of the Congress Street United Methodist Church, Alcoa 25-Year Club, and Alcoa Retiree Club.
  Also surviving are one son, Jerry L. Daniels of Syracuse; two step-sons, David W. Goyer of Logansport and Ritchie N. Goyer of Brookston; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.  He was preceded in death by one sister.
  Services were Monday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Jean M. Brindel officiating.  Burial was in Zion Cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to the Congress Street UM Church Memorial Fund or to the Heart Fund.
