Dean Anderson - Class Of 1944

  R. Dean Anderson, 63, of Delphi, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 1989, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi, where he was admitted one hour before.
  Born Feb. 22, 1926, in Carroll County, near Sleath, he was the son of Floyd and Myrle Julien Anderson.  His marriage was on Dec. 24, 1947, in Delphi, to Jean Robertson, who survives.
  Anderson had worked for 10 years at Peters-Revington in Delphi, retiring in 1987.  Prior to that he had worked at the former Pearson Farm Service and the former George Todd Implement dealer in Delphi.  He had farmed much of his life on Rt. 1, Delphi, before moving to the city three years ago.
  A 1944 graduate of Delphi High School, he was a World War II Army veteran.  He was a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75, the IOOF Lodge in Delphi, and formerly belonged to the 40 et 8 Voiture in Lafayette.  He was also active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Pittsburg.
  Surviving with his wife are four sons, Bill, Jeff, Joe and Doug Anderson, all of Delphi; three brothers, Lloyd of Delphi, Lynn of Rossville, and Don of Crawfordsville; and four grandchildren.
  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor David Futrell officiating.  Burial will be in the IOOF Memorial Gardens with Delphi American Legion rites.  Friends may call tonight from 4 to 8 p.m.
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Cancer Association.
