Dorothy Pauley (Waymire) - Class Of 1939

  Dorothy Louise Waymire, 72, of Delphi, died at 7:43 a.m. Sept. 18,1994, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Sept. 14.
  Born Jan. 19, 1922, in Battle Ground, she was the daughter of Lawrence Delaney and Dorris Marie Ross Pauley.  Her marriage was on Sept. 4, 1942, in Delphi, to John A. Waymire.
  She was a 1939 graduate of Delphi High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College in Lafayette.
  She formerly worked at Purdue University as a secretary.  She also had been co-owner of the Penguin Restaurant in Delphi, a bookkeeper for the former Wasson's Buick and Pontiac car dealership in Delphi, and was office manager for Underhill Industries in Delphi, retiring in 1983.
  She was a member of Delphi Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship, and the Golden Rule Sunday school class; Psi Iota Xi sorority, Delphi Business Women's Club, and various bridge clubs in Delphi.  She also was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
  Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela Louise Barsh and Patricia Marlene Waymire, both of Kokomo; a sister, Jean Campbell of Battle Ground; three brothers, Dave Pauley of Planfield, Don Pauley of Kentland, and Earl Pauley of Brownsburg and two grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother.
  Services were today at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Mullikin officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
  Memorials may be made to the Delphi Christian Church or the Cardiac Care Unit of St. Elizabeth Hospital.
