Josephine Shealy - Class Of 1886

Miss Josephine Shealy, well-known Delphi woman, died this morning at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, of a heart attack which followed an illness with influenza. She had been a patient at the hospital since Tuesday. Miss Shealy was graduated from Delphi high school in 1886, and for over forty years was a grade teacher in. the Delphi public school. She retired in 1929. She was a member of Rose chapter, O. E. S. and of the Oracle club and was prominent in the work of the Woman's club. She is survived by a sister, Miss Fanny Shealy of Chicago. Funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Blythe funeral home. Rev. Harry B. Parker will officiate; burial in Odd Fellow cemetery.
