Funeral services for Harry Austin Martin, 83, former Delphi resident, who died Wednesday, March 26, 1980, at Home Hospital, were Saturday at Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi. Born Sept. 12, 1896, in Flora parents were John Henry and Margaret Frances Arion Martin. He married Effie Bicknell Davis Dec. 25, 1917, in Delphi. She died in May 1975. Mr. Austin is a lifelong Carroll County resident. He is retired from the Wabash Railroad and attended Delphi schools. He has been in failing health the past six years and living with his daughter Mary Powell Henderson in Lafayette for the past ten years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving with Mrs. Henderson are two other daughters, Frances Trapp of Lafayette and Mae Metzger of Rossville; two half brothers, Everett Williams and Russell Williams of Delphi; one half sister, Martha Wagoner, Delphi, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Delphi.
