Bob Floyd - Class Of 1961

Robert A. "Bob" Floyd, 71, of Delphi, died Fri.-Apr. 3, 2015 at 4:08am, at IU Health Arnett Hospital-Laf. He was born June 21, 1943 to the late Edward G. Floyd, and his mother Alice M. Thompson Mohler. His marriage was to Diana M. Fultz in Delphi, on May 28, 1961, and she survives. He attended Delphi High School, and graduated from the Pipe & Steam Fitters School. He was a member of the Local #157 Steamfitters/Plumbers Union of Terre Haute, for 35 years before retiring. He also taught the apprentice classes on welding & drafting for 9 years. He was baptized in the Delphi Christian Church. He belonged to the Battle Ground Masonic Lodge, and was a 32nd degree Mason, and belonged to the Scottish Rite & Shrine. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and woodworking. He enjoyed the Chicago Bears football team. He was proud of his Native American Heritage. Surviving: wife: Diana M. Floyd of Delphi; daughters: Robin Lee of Lafayette, Rhonda M. Floyd of Delphi, Marnie & Ed Van Horn of Romney; son: Kenny W. Floyd of Monticello; sisters: Sharon & Fred Perez of Lafayette, Karen Mohler of Indianapolis, Kathy & Earl Ingmire of Logansport, Cindy & Dave Goodin of Monticello; brother: Edward Floyd of Lafayette, 9 grandchildren, & 7 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by his stepfather-Alvin E. Mohler. Services: Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, with a Masonic Service at 7:30pm. Funeral service there Tuesday at 11am, Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating, burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
