Mary G. McCloskey, 85, rural Logansport, died Jan. 28, 1999, in Chase Center, Logansport. She was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Rockfield, the daughter of Asa and Mollie Blanche Cohee. Her marriage was July 18, 1936, in Antwerp, Ohio, to John Junior McCloskey, who died June 1, 1991. A graduate of Delphi High School, she was a homemaker and had worked for the Delphi School Corporation, Cass County License Branch, and Cass County Welfare Department. She was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship, Logansport. Surviving are one son, John Wayne McCloskey, Logansport; a daughter, Jane Althoff, Washington Pa.; two sisters, Miriam Adaline Myer of Flora, and Ida Lucille Popejoy of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren. A sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Services were held in Logansport, with burial in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
