Dan Isley

Daniel I. Isley, 69, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday-July 4, 2023, at 4:45am, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, where he had resided for the past 3 years. He was born January 26, 1954, in Lafayette, to the late Vernon & Eva Bougher Isley. He was formerly married to Linda S. Dubes of Delphi, on January 14, 1989, and she survives. Dan graduated from Delphi Community High School in 1972. In his early working years, he worked for McCormick Farms of Delphi. He then owned and operated, "The Office Tavern" in Delphi for 32 years, before retiring. He was a lifetime member of the Delphi American Legion Post 75, a member of the Delphi VFW 9383, a member of the Son's of the American Legion, and the Monticello Eagles Lodge. Dan loved auto racing, and had a modified racecar #17, he raced at Benton County Speedway, known as "Digger Dan". He enjoyed living on the river, boating, fishing, and other river activities. He loved hosting fish fries at his home, and making egg nogg during the Christmas Holiday was always his thing to do. He enjoyed cruising the horn with his family and friends and loved to be outdoors'. He dearly loved his family and many friends. Surviving: brother-George Isley of Delphi, bonus daughter-Debbie & Cory Barnard of Fishers, granddaughters-Mia & Harper Barnard, cousin-Steve Isley of Delphi, niece-Kim Isley of Delphi, nephew-Eric Isley of Delphi, great niece-Mady Isley of Delphi, great nephew-Tristin Isley of Delphi, and his good friend-John McFadden of Delphi.
