Michael Little

Michael Thomas Little, 68, of Monticello, passed away Monday-July 3, 2023, at 12:25am, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born October 30, 1954, to the late John “Jack” & Cornelia “Corky” Behler Little. Mike was raised in Delphi, and graduated from Delphi High School in 1972, and attended Ivy Tech in Lafayette, studying drafting. Mike was in the restaurant business in Delphi and Flora, and owned and operated The Lantern Room in Delphi for many years. Currently he worked at Burger King in Monticello, and loved all his customers that came through the drive-up window, always with a smile and greeting. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi and Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello. He loved spending time at his parents’ house on Lake Freeman, and enjoyed boating, and other lake activities. He loved to play card games, enjoyed art and painting, and making his family gifts for no reason.  He enjoyed Delphi athletics, IU basketball, Chicago Cubs baseball, and was an avid football fan. He loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting & school events, always supporting them. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: daughter-Brooke Johnson & Jason Dobbins of Monticello, son-Teag & Tiffany Little of Battle Ground, grandchildren: Lexi Johnson, Brady Little, Kyree Johnson, Olivia Bottoms, & Griff Little. Sister-Jill & Jim Robbins of Monticello, brother-Jack & Pamela Little of Birmingham, AL, brother-Pat Little, sp. Maryellen Halvorsen of Haymarket, VA. Services: A funeral mass will be held Friday-July 7, at 11:30am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, Fr. Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Delphi.
