Ronald B. East, 52, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, April 7, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Central.

Born Nov. 17, 1957, in Bloomington, Ill., he was the son of Norman East of Lafayette and the late Helga Leitzbach East. He graduated from Delphi High School.

On July 24, 1992, he married Laura Uhlig East in Lafayette, and she survives.

Mr. East worked for CenturyLink Telephone as a technician for nine years.

Surviving with his wife and father are his children, Margaret Hass, Charlotte Alvarez (husband: Ramon), Christopher East, Mathew East, Joel East, Anna East and Rachel East, all of Lafayette.
