Don Wilcox

Donald L. "Don" Wilcox, 61, of Ockley, died at 6:10 p.m July 26, 1999, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.  He had been a patient there eight days.
  Born Nov. 11, 1937, he was the son of Russell and Blanche Wallace Wilcox.  He was married to Barbara Laverne Hollis on Sept. 7, 1957.  On Dec. 19, 1961, he married Ruthanne White.  On March 26, 1970, he married Joyce Neff.
  Mr. Wilcox was a self-employed auto body repairman, working in his shop in Ockley for the past 10 years.  He had previously worked at Dan's Body Shop in Delphi and at the former Todd-McLemore Body Shop and the former Adams Chevrolet, both in Delphi.  He had also worked 13 years at Landis & Gyr in Lafayette.
  He was a 1955 graduate of Delphi High School and attended Indiana Business College.
  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Delphi and had been active in the men's bowling leaques in Delphi for many years.  He enjoyed hunting for mushrooms.
  Surviving are three sons, Frank Wilcox and David Wilcox, both of Delphi, and Kenneth Wilcox of Lafayette; two daughters, Victoria Murray of Delphi and Tina Keeton of Lafayette; three brothers, William "Bill" Wilcox, Charles "Chuck" Wilcox, and Gene Wilcox, all of Lafayette; two sisters, Mary Schnepp of rural Delphi and Martha Steinman of Carlsbad, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.  A brother and a granddaughter preceded him in death.
  Services were Friday at 11 a.m. at the Horn-Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Linda Sproull and the Rev. Rich McQuinn officiating.  Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
  Memorials may be made to the Carroll County Cancer Association.
