Carol Bowman (Martin)

Carol Ann Bowman Martin, 56, of Galveston, died at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 22, 1995, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis,  She was admitted to the hospital Saturday night, Jan. 21.
  Born July 17, 1938, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of John I. and Opal F. Smith Bowman.  She grew up in the Delphi community.
  Her marriage was on Jan. 13, 1957, in Yeoman, to Richard E. "Dick" Martin, who survives.
  She was a 1956 graduate of Delphi High School.  Prior to her marriage, she worked for the Delphi Lumber Company.  After her marriage, she was employed by Roscoe Martin Insurance Agency in Logansport for a short time.
  She was a member of Galveston United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
  She enjoyed genealogy and was a former member of the Cass County Genealogy Society.  She co-authored the Cass County Bicentennial Tour Book.
  Also surviving are one daughter, Tracey Anne Martin of Indianapolis; her parents, of Delphi; and a brother, John David "J.D." Bowman of Crown Point.
  Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan P. Gosser officiating.  Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m.  Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery.
