Ronald L. Murphy, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 8:53 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. Born in Frankfort, Indiana on April 29, 1942 he was a son to the late Gerald & Ellen (Roberts) Murphy. Ronald was a graduate of Delphi High School, class of 1960. He was a proud United States Marine Corp veteran, serving from 1966-1972, including 13 months in Vietnam. He was a member of the Greenville American Legion, and Eagles. Ronald enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to smile, make people laugh, and was very lighthearted; he will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister in law Margaret Murphy: brother in law Darrell Wilson.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Thelma Jean Murphy: son Aaron Murphy & wife Michelle: grandchildren Keely W. Murphy; Brady P. Murphy: siblings Linda (Murphy) Wilson; Bill Murphy: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Todd Reish presiding, and Military Honors performed by the Greenville Honor Guard.
