Dennis Widner

 Dennis M. Widner, 53, of Lafayette, died at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 1995, in a car-pedestrian accident on SR 25 near Tippecanoe County Road 500 East.
  He was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Flora.  He had lived in Lafayette since 1974, moving there from Delphi.
  His marriage was on Sept. 18, 1965, in Converse, to Joyce A. Rohrer, who survives.
  He attended New Hope Grade School, and graduated from Delphi High School in 1960.  He had worked in the pilot plant at the Eli Lilly Co., in Lafayette for 27 years, retiring in December 1993.
  Mr. Widner also was a former employee of Indiana Gas Co., and Ross Gear Division of TRW.
  He was a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association and the Deer Track Golf Club.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and billiards.
  He served in the Army Reserves from 1960 until 1968.
  Also surviving are one son, David L. Widner, and a daughter, Janee Widner, both of Lafayette; his father and stepmother, Jesse and Bonnie Widner of Delphi; a brother, Richard Widner of Lafayette; a sister, Kathleen Widner of Asheville, N.C.:and a stepsister, Julia Terrell of Monticello.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Widner.
  Services were Tuesday in Lafayette with interment in Zion Cemetery near Flora.
  Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
