It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother and friend, Jane Ann (Woods) Coghill, at 1:39 p.m. on April 22, 2023 at her residence.

Born April 10, 1949, to Lou and Warren Woods, she grew up in Delphi, Ind., with her sisters, Wanda Berger, Wendy Kuns and Janet Mabrey, who still survive. She graduated from Delphi High School and attended Rudae’s Beauty College,

Jane married Donald Gene Coghill on Sept. 16, 1967. She resided in Delphi and raised their three children, Tricia Lynn (Coghill) Peek, April Dawn (Coghill) Martin, and Brenton Lee Coghill, who survives. She and Don were married 29 years before divorcing and going their separate ways.

Jane lived a fulfilled life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for woodcarving, being a beautician and being a preschool teacher at Ready-Set-Go Preschool. Jane also had a store in Delphi called Silver and Glitz, where she made jewelry and earrings.

Jane moved to Alaska in 2003. She loved the snow and wilderness there.

Jane was a generous soul. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
