Sharman Jo C. Marschand, 48, of Indianapolis, died Dec. 5, 1998, at her home. She was born March 7, 1950, in Noblesville. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Spanish at Indiana University in 1972. She married Larry E. Marschand on Aug. 14, 1971, in Monticello, and he survives. She had been a teacher at Fulton Junior High, Perry Meridian High School, and Southport High School and Middle School. She was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, Perry Educational Association, and Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association.
Surviving are her mother, Wanda Carey Hensley of Delphi; two daughters, and two sisters including Kimberly M. Krantz of Delphi.
Services were Tuesday at Southport.

Constance Riley (Rodenbarger) (1969)
I remember the fun times we had at Pittsburg School. Jo was a cheerleader as was I. Sadly Jo passed away from breast cancer. Jo was a nice gal I'll never forget her. Kind, also. Later, Jo.

Jo was my third grade love and she was the last girlfriend I saw before heading to Nam. I saw her and told her where I was going and she was not happy about it. She was getting ready for Collage and I remember thinking of what she was going to do. I will miss her forever Jo is the most beautiful person I ever met.
