Mike Lear - Class Of 1969

Mike A. Lear, 50, of 2909 Holly Hill Drive, Lafayette, died Feb. 26, 2002, in Home Hospital Emergency Room. Born July 24, 1951, in Lafayette, he lived in the Lafayette area most of life, and also lived in Delphi. He married Cheryl D. Sheets on Oct. 2, 1976, in Radnor, and she survives. Mr. Lear was employed at M.A.I.L. in the maintenance/ janitorial department. He previously worked in construction and electronics repair. He enjoyed computers. Surviving are three sons, Vince Lear of Delphi, Christopher Lear and Aaron Lear both of Wingate; his mother, Flossie Battles Lear of Delphi; three brothers, Kenny Lear and Steve Lear, both of Delphi, Kevin Lear of Lafayette; three sisters, Theresa Goeff of Frankfort, Leona Cripe of Delphi, and Cecelia Lear of Lafayette; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Lear Sr., and two brothers. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to service time at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette, with Rev. Vickie Davidson officiating.

Constance Riley (Rodenbarger) (1969)

Mike was a hard worker and always liked to work on anything electronic. I had him work on some electronics ,and he always could repair them. Rest in peace, Mike, some of us leave this earth too soon.
