Comments:

My first job was with National Homes as an Inventory Clerk for about 2 years; then I went to Fairfield Mfg. Co. for 2 years; then we went to Ruth's Dad's farm up by Pittsburg for 2 years, he then decided ot sell the farm so we then went back to Lafayette to work at Eli Lilly for 6 years; then I went into the insurance business for 15 years on my own, added real estate brokerage to my business in 1967, then sold the insurance business in 1977 and continued on with real estate brokerage until retirement in 1999. During this time we took several trips; went to London in 1976, went to Spain in 1984, Colorado, Florida, New Mexico and several points in between.

School Story:

Spent 4 years at the old Delphi High School, played football under Bob Miller as Coach. We gathered at Frank Fitch's Drugstore for phosphates or black cows and mischief. I rode my motorbike to football practice and school; it was 5 miles and always dark when I went home. I knew every bump in the road even though it was dark. I did drive to school part of the time.
