Robert H. "Bob" McCain, 85, of 350 E 845 S, Flora, formerly of rural Delphi, died at 8:58 a.m. June 9, 1997, in the emergency room at Home Hospital in Lafayette.
  Born July 14, 1911, in Delphi, he was the son of Luther R. and Helen Harley McCain.  He married Clara Ashley on June 17, 1967, and she died Jan. 9, 1978.  He married Alyce Green on July 14, 1981, and she died in 1982.  He married Helen Yeakley Perry on July 1, 1990, and she survives.
  A retired Carroll County farmer, he moved from Rt. 4, Delphi, to Monticello in 1967, and then moved to Flora in 1990.
  He was a 1931 graduate of Delphi High School and was a watercolor artist.
  He was a 72-year member of the Delphi First Presbyterian Church, and a member of IOOF Lodge 28, Delphi Art Club, Wabash and Erie Canal Association, Carroll County Historical Society, and Carroll County Farm Bureau.
  Also surviving are four stepchildren, Carl E. Perry of Rt. 1, Rossville; Ronald D. Perry of Rt. 1, Flora; Clara L. Watson of Rt. 1, Cutler; and Galen L. Perry of Rt. 1, Delphi; a foster brother, James French of Delphi; nine step grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren.
  Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.  Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Delphi.
  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Carroll County Cancer Association.
