Francis O'Farrell

 Francis E. O'Farrell, 82, of 3013 Fall Place Dr., West Lafayette, died at 5 a.m. on April 15, 2005, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  He had been a patient there for one week and in ill health for the past year.
  Born in Tippecanoe County on Aug. 12, 1922, he was the son of Harry and Della Reppert O'Farrell.  He was a 1941 graduate of Delphi High School, a graduate of Millers College of Real Estate and of Purdue University Appraisal School.
  His marriage was to Ruth L. Hudson in Delphi on May 10, 1944, and she survives.
  Mr. O'Farrell was a World War II veteran, stationed with the aerial engineers in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, with the 11th Combat Cargo Squad of the 10th U.S. Air Force, from 1942 to 1946.
  He owned O'Farrell Real Estate and Appraisals, with offices in Delphi and Logansport for over 30 years.
  Mr. O'Farrell lived in Delphi for several years, moving to Logansport for 20 years, then moving to West Lafayette for the past 10 years.
  He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Lafayette Knights of Columbus, Delphi American Legion Post #75, and Logansport VFW.
  Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Mary Jean O'Farrell, Sharon Albean (husband: Dave), and Kathryn Davis (husband: Jeff), all of Indianapolis, a son, Jim O'Farrell (wife: Karen) of Lafayette: a brother, Bill O'Farrell (wife: Marilyn) of Delphi; a sister, Magdalene Mears (husband: Richard) of Delphi; four grandsons; and a granddaughter.
  He was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward, and a sister, Phyllis Jean.
  A graveside memorial service will be held on April 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Delphi, with Delphi American Legion military rites, and burial of his ashes to follow.  Father Peter Vanderkolk will officiate.
  Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
