Rose Ann Vianco

Rose Ann Vianco, 90, of Lafayette, formerly of Indianapolis, IN. died at St. Elizabeth East Hospital 4:40 AM Friday January 10, 2014. Rose Ann was born in Delphi, IN. July 5, 1923, the daughter of the late William “Pete” and Margaret Becker Vianco. She was a 1941 graduate of Delphi High School and attended beauty college in Indianapolis. Rose Ann had worked as a beautician in Indianapolis for a time, but later was employed at Indiana Bell Telephone 31 years, retiring as a training supervisor. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at Delphi; enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and cards; trips to the Blue Chip Casino and to Las Vegas, and believed in hard work. Surviving is a sister, Dolorita “Rita” Gaunt of Lafayette and by two nieces, Judith Spohn and Gail Lynn Chadwell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Vianco, and by two sisters, Alice Marie Stevens and Mary Louise DeWit. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Tuesday Jan. 14, Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Delphi, IN. If friends desire. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Memories and condolences may be left at
