Marvin Brehmer - Class Of 1945

Marvin Brehmer

  G. Marvin Brehmer, 56, Crestwood Dr., Delphi, died at 5:27 a.m. Monday, March 26, 1984 in the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
  He was born July 19, 1927 in White County, the son of Gustaf and Lillie Sigman Brehmer.  His marriage was June 28, 1947 in Delphi to Wauneta "Pete" Herbin, and she survives.
  Brehmer was a manufacture's representative for Brehmer-Zinser Agency, Frankfort for the past three years.  Prior, he was sales  manager for Sayco Industries in Flora for 12 years.  And, for 23 years he had been employed at the Globe Valve, Delphi.
  He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 75, Delphi, and the Elks Lodge No. 560 in Frankfort, Brehmer was a 1945 graduate of Delphi High School and a World War II Navy veteran.
  Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Stephen C. Brehmer, Palatine, Ill.; W. Bradford Brehmer, Grand Junction, Colo.; and Douglas M. Brehmer, Delphi; two sisters, Miss Jean Brehmer, Lafayette, and Mrs. Donald (Elsie) Burkhalter, Delphi; two brothers, Allen Brehmer, Peru, and Howard Brehmer, Louisville, Ky.; and two grandsons.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest.
  Services were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Horn-Thompson Funeral Home in Delphi with Rev. James Rankin officiating.  Burial was in Morning Heights Cemetery.
