Ruby I. Houser Smith, 84, of Delphi, died Friday-August 31, 2018 at 9:53am, at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Sept. 15, 1933 in Carroll County, to the late Dale & Bessie Siefert Houser. Her marriage was to Glen D. Smith, at the Hickory Grove Church, on June 5, 1953, and he survives. She was a 1951 graduate of Delphi High School. She worked at the former Peters-Revington Furniture Factory in Delphi for 15 years, and was a homemaker. She and her family enjoyed traveling, and she enjoyed cooking, and baking. She also liked to go to garage sales, and enjoyed working word puzzles. She loved the Indianapolis Colts. She dearly loved her family, and extended family, and many friends. Surviving: husband-Glen D. Smith of Delphi; son-Tony D. Smith & Kathleen Martin of Delphi; sisters-Doris Shepard of Delphi, Nancy & David Isaacs of Delphi; brothers-Richard & Carolyn Houser of Delphi, John Houser of Camden; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 sons Michael Dale & Randy Lee Smith; a daughter Trudy Louise Thompson; 1 sister Mary; 5 brothers Wayne, Junior, Clayton, Gene, & Danny. There will be no services.
