Mary Kathleen Clifford Hawn, 78, of Delphi, died at 3:55am Wed-Nov 13, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center-Delphi, where she has resided for the past 15 years. She was born in Delphi, on Aug. 27, 1935, to the late Hubert & Lucile Crosby Clifford. Her marriage was to Richard L. "Dick" Hawn in Delphi, on Apr. 16, 1955, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1998. She was a 1953 graduate & valedictorian of her class at Delphi High School. She worked for many years in the Carroll County Treasurers Office, and also for the Carroll County REMC at their Delphi office, and she sold Avon for many years. She was a longtime and active member of her church, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, a member of the alter & rosary society, and sang in the church choir. She was also on the church parish counsel. She was a member of the Tri Kappa Sorority, and enjoyed her BUNKO club. She enjoyed baking, and was a devoted mother, and dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving daughters: Teresa & Ray Miller, Frankfort; Marcy & Arthur Garrard, Brownsburg; Angela "Angie" Hawn, Indianapolis; sons: Dennis & Lisa Hawn, Delphi; David L. Hawn, Delphi. 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a brother Father David Clifford; infant twins Vincent & Annette Clifford. Services: Friends may call Sunday from 2-6pm, with a scripture service at 5:30pm at Abbott Funeral Home-Delphi. Funeral Mass Monday 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Fr. Robert Williams officiating.
