Arthur W. “Art” Coomey, 75, of Delphi, died at 9:32 a.m. Nov. 19, 1995, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. He had been a patient there since Oct. ll. Born Aug. 21,1920, in Delphi, he was the son of William M. and Mary Alice Vianco Coomey. His marriage was on Nov. 17, 1939, in Flora, to Pauline Zook, who died Jan. 29,1985. He attended Delphi schools and was a lifelong resident of Delphi. He had worked at the former Smith Dairy and the former Fowler Furniture Store and was last employed as manager of Hilltop Shell, all in Delphi. He retired in 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both in Delphi. Surviving are two daughters, Sandy Herron of Rt. 2, Delphi, and Nancy Adams of Rt. 5, Monticello; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services were Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
