Bruce Kite - Class Of 1938

Reuben Bruce Kite, 72, of Delphi, was found dead at his home at 11 a.m. Nov. 28, 1991. Born Nov. 23, 1919, south of Delphi, he was the son of Edward L. and Louetta Hurley Kite. He was a former employee of Johnson Motors in Waukegan, Ill., and later worked on the Herschel Smith farm near Rossville. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75 and Delphi VFW Post 9383. Surviving are two sisters, Mary L. Taylor of Rossville and Ethel Robinson of Delphi; and a brother, William "Bill" Kite of Flora. Graveside services, with military rites by the Delphi Legion, were Saturday at Zion Cemetery, Rt. 1, Flora, Reverend Jack Smith officiated. Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
