Robert L. Blickenstaff, 58, Rt. 3, Delphi, died March 5, 1986, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.  He had been a patient there one day and in ill health nine months.
  He was born July 17, 1927, to Robert and Mary Remaly Blickenstaff, in Carroll County.
  His marriage was to Betty Coons Vass in Delphi, on September 15, 1946 and she survives.
  Mr. Blickenstaff was a member of the Delphi Christian Church and had served as a deacon.  He was a 1946 graduate of Delphi High School, and an Army Veteran of World War II, and Korean War.
  He worked for Northern Indiana Public Service Company 22 years.  He recently had become a heavy equipment operator for the company.
  Surviving with the widow are two daughters; Roberta J. Schwartz, Columbus, Indiana, and Diana J. Flora, Delphi.  Two sons: R. Steve Blickenstaff, Delphi, and Michael Blickenstaff, Lafayette.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, two brothers and one step-brother and one step-sister.
  Services were held Saturday at the Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.  Burial was at IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.  Friends desiring may contribute in memoriam to Carroll County Cancer Association or St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.
