Dr Gerald Norman Quinn, 95 of Cape Coral passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born August 28, 1928 in Delphi, Indiana to Troy Quinn and Georgia Loy Quinn. Gerald graduated from Delphi High School and then Butler University Jordan College of the Arts majoring in music. After graduating from Butler he attended IU in Bloomington where he met Helen Sparks, the love of his life. Gerald received a Masters Degree from Indiana University with Helen’s help. Gerald and Helen were married for 45 years, she preceded him in death. Gerald worked as a band director and guidance counselor before going back to college and getting a Doctors Degree from Ball State University in psychology. Then, Gerald worked for many years as a school Psychologist. Upon his retirement he co-owned radio stations in Indiana WMRS-Monticello, WBQR-Attica, and WKLU-Brownsburg. He hosted a big band show on WMRS as Johnny Irish. He was the leader of the band.
